ENCHANTED RIVER COTTAGE | LUXURIOUS | JACUZZI
This magical home located in the Canadian Badlands on the Red Deer River boasts beautiful gardens, wrap-around country deck, fine heritage woodwork, hand-carved arches, alcoves, and antiques throughout. The home was custom built by the owner and said to be a work of art. Perfect for romantic getaways, a soft adventure weekend, river tubing, horseback riding or dinosaur hunting in the badlands.
This home has drawn gasps and secret whispering about Harry Potter, Castles, and fairies for nigh on twenty years. Come relax and enjoy the river view as you transport into a uniquely beautiful sanctuary.
Due to COVID regulations parties or large group gatherings are prohibited.
The home is a 5-level split with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms in addition to a clinician room for onsite spa treatments and an atelier located in the upper turret.
Floor to ceiling picture windows showcase the multi-jetted jacuzzi tub and open bathroom concept in the Master bedroom, but unfortunately, we are prohibited from offering the Hottub for public use. The Suite is a luxurious space to snuggle up in a cozy king-sized bed while gazing out onto the backyard and river bend.
Both guest bedrooms offer a Queen bed. Closet space and antique dressers decorate the rooms with twin access to an outside balcony. The main bathroom is located down the hall and also features a jetted tub.
A third bathroom is located on the main floor near the entrance
Our clinician room is available for massage and spa treatments.
The kitchen sports a double convection oven, two sinks, plenty of counter space, large hood fan and sidebar seating.
The open concept dining room area is spacious and shared with the kitchen.
The living room has an enchanted decor of antiques and hand carved furniture, all snuggled around a wood fireplace. Great for visiting or kicking back.
Downstairs is a comfortable TV/family room. This space includes a futon to accommodate a 7th person as necessary.
On the rare occasion that the house is overly warm there are fans in the ceiling or additional floor fans can be pulled out of the closet. There are screens on both Guest Bedroom doors for additional airflow and a ceiling fan and venting window in the Master suite.
Just off the kitchen is a 750 sqft multilevel patio with a bbq, firepit, seating and deck that wraps around the house.
The backyard gardens looking out to the Red Deer River is a gorgeous for sunsets, nature watching and relaxing.
The residence provides a large driveway and accommodates plenty of street parking with a large grassy lot across the street.
HOUSE RULES:
1. Quiet hours from 10:00 pm to 9:00 am.
2. Please remove shoes in the house
3. Please be aware garden maintenance will be taking place on a daily basis, especially during the spring and summer months. Please inform your host in advance if you require specific hours of privacy.
4. Please provide us with your estimated time of arrival at least a day before your arrival.
5. Kindly Provide us your best contact number and email address for us to have on hand, should we need to contact you.
6. We will be sending you a Welcome Letter and check-in instructions before your arrival date.
7. STRICTLY NO SMOKING. There's a $300 fine for unauthorized pets and smoking inside.
8. There’s a $300 fine for unauthorized pets and smoking inside.
9. We are prohibited from offering the Hottub for public use. There is a $300 fine for doing so.
10. We charge $25 per night for an additional guest.
11. There's a fee of $10 per person for a Day-Guests.
12. Setting up tents is NOR permitted on top of the lawn due to the irrigation system.
13. We offer a discount for reservations with a minimum of 2 nights' stay.
14. Toiletries are provided upon check-in; For reservation with a monthly rate, you can request additional toiletries however additional charges may apply.
15. We are prohibited from offering the Hottub for public use. There is a $300 fine for doing so.
16. We can clean the BBQ area for you at a cost of $35.
17. Please use the chopping board we provided; there is a charge of $50 for any cuts put into the concrete countertops.
